Improving lives by improving confidence.
Skin is the largest body organ, and it grows with us from birth to adulthood. It allows us to feel a wide range of sensations, and it protects us from a variety of harm. In addition to providing protection from physical damage, our skin also helps keep out germs and bacteria. It triggers our immune system when germs do manage to make their way through the skin. Plus, skin helps regulate our body temperature and it synthesizes ingredients (natural ones) that provide our body with the nutrients it needs.
So when skin is hindered, it can mean major life challenges, making it a bit more difficult to navigate through life. We strongly believe that everyone should be well-versed in the harmful and hazardous effects of everyday cosmetic toxins so you can make better decisions when it comes to what you should and shouldn’t be applying to your body, and therefor achieve the health and beauty you deserve.
Did you know?
A new study led by researchers at UC Berkeley and Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas demonstrates how even a short break from synthetic chemicals based makeup, shampoos and skincare can lead to a significant drop in levels of hormone-disrupting chemicals in the body.
The shampoos, skincare and other personal care products you use can affect the amount of endocrine-disrupting chemicals in one’s body.
Most people choose the skincare and cosmetics based on what friends use, price, the ad in their favourite magazine, influencers, social media, or TV, while just a little over 20% read and make conscious decisions based on the full ingredient list.
A mind-boggling array of beauty and personal care products contain chemicals that not only trigger skin problems such as rashes, rosacea, acne, and other symptoms of contact dermatitis, but are known or suspected causes of long-term health effects such as asthma, infertility, birth defects, learning disabilities, cancer, and disease.
Our skin can't synthesize, assimilate, or even recognize synthetic chemicals. And for that reason is going to store them between the skin layers and send the toxins into the bloodstream. By building up between layers sooner or later those synthetics will turn into what we call "SENSITIVE SKIN".
